# Quick Look (/docs/mac/quick-look)

Select an `.echolot` workspace in the Finder and press <kbd>Space</kbd>: Quick Look shows what the workspace holds,
without opening Echolot. Use it to find the right workspace among several, or to see what a teammate's workspace
contains before you open it.

## What the preview shows [#what-the-preview-shows]

- **Echolot Workspace** and the workspace's name.
- The file name, and when any of its files last changed, with how long ago.
- Its requests by kind, most first, such as `18 HTTP · 3 GraphQL · 2 WebSocket`.
- Counts of its **Requests**, **Folders**, **Environments**, **Variables** and **Checks**, and of its **Flows**,
**MCP Servers**, **Specs** and **Mocks** when it has any.
- The names of its environments.

The preview follows your Mac's light or dark appearance.

## What it doesn't do [#what-it-doesnt-do]

The preview only reads the workspace's files. It sends nothing, runs no scripts and opens no connections. Secret
values aren't in the workspace's files (they live in the Keychain), so they never show in a preview.

The preview comes with Echolot, in both editions; there is nothing to install. To open the workspace, double-click it,
or choose **Open with Echolot** at the top of the Quick Look window.
